This is a customized carbon fiber damping plate designed to reduce any vibrations coming from your RaceBlade, QAV180, or QAV210 before they reach either your GoPro or Mobius style camera. The soft silicon bobbins separate the camera plate from the airframe while at the same time absorbing any vibrations. This kit includes both camera plates so you can switch between a GoPro and a Mobius rapidly. The GoPro mount is compatible with both the Hero 3 and Hero 4 cameras, while the Mobius style mount will work with a variety of cameras including the GoPro Session.
The GoPro style mount cleverly allows you to mount the camera at an angle while at the same time isolating any vibrations the airframe may create. The Mobius style plate was designed to flat mount the camera, however wedging a piece of foam under the front of the camera would allow you to put the camera at an angle as well.
The top plate of the QAV180/210 is also reinforced by doubling the thickness of the carbon at the top of the frame.

Excellent camera mount when paired with Diatone dampener keepers review by HyperHelis on 3/10/2017
Camera mount fits and works great on my qav180. When you place your order for this mount be sure to order the Diatone dampener keepers. They work great after you trim them to size.
Great with some add ons review by PETWOG on 12/24/2016
I've used this mount for some time with my GoPro and have had no problem with loosing anything even with some pretty hard crashes. This is what has worked well for me: using the supplied bobbins but using Diatone Damping Ball Lock (SKU 6011) instead of wire ties. They are cheap and make for a clean look. No jello at all and add very little weight.
Stabilizes well review by Austin on 12/21/2016
It serves it's purpose and eliminates most of the jello. Although I haven't crashed it yet, so I'm not sure about how durable it is.

Really good for my hd videos
Excellent with some tweaking review by Carlos on 4/5/2016
Definitely the wire ties are a must. I put them on all 4 bobbins. Also, what is necessary, at least it was for me is making a wedge to go in front of the GoPro and one behind where the strap goes. I was finding that the camera tilted forward and back too easy when doing acro stuff like forward or backward flips. It didn't matter how hard I put the velcro. So, I made a wedge that sits in front of the GoPro out of Instamorph to keep the camera at 30 degrees. I have to run the velcro through the front of the mount instead of through the slot but that's fine. and on the back of the GoPro I stuck a small curved piece of Instamorph so that the velcro was strapped against it. This way tilting forward and back is pretty much eliminated. In bad crashes the thin single strap of velcro similar to what is included in the kit just snaps and the GoPro goes flying, which is really what you want. Usually in a bad crash, the most that will happen is lose a wire tie off a bobbin and break the velcro strap. I've looked at other options, but this seems the best for avoiding GoPro breakage or camera mount breakage as there are lots of "weak" points that displace energy and avoid breakage.
Orange silicon bobbins - MIA review by skuibreaker on 3/10/2016
crashing means you lose your Bobbins & have to go searching for them. The top & bot. holes might need to be a tad smaller.
Great little mount... Don't Crash review by Jake on 1/31/2016
This is a great little mount for your gopro. I was wondering what dampeners I should buy because mine flew of on a hard landing in some tall grass.
We do sell replacements for these dameners, the SKU is 4323. Simply enter this SKU into the search bar to locate these.
Looks like a fly with a GoPro review by Latancy on 12/2/2015
With 4s battery and 5x4.5 props is still agile even with the weight of a GoPro.
This little trick with zip ties is necessary were ever you have bobbins. I am doing this since my first crash with QAV500 v1 to loosely hold middle and bottom plates together.
Works like expected, but same complaints as George. review by Michael on 11/30/2015
For the price point it is a nice little kit, but same as George stated on hard "landings" the bobbins pop off. I wish I knew that zip tie method prior because I've lost 2 bobbins.
Can someone please tell me the bobbin size that's needed for replacing them? Thanks!
-Hello Michael, The bobbins used for this are designed to fit a 6mm hole. We are going to be selling these separately very shortly so you can order replacements soon.
Works as advertised but don't crash... review by George on 11/6/2015
Overall this is a good product. It definitely cancels all jello you might experience with any other mounting method. With that said you will want to avoid crashes as much as possible and even hard landings because if you crash or land hard enough the mounting plate carrying your camera will slip right off the silicon bobbins. Hopefully you won't have a problem finding it in tall grass. Mine has fallen off on hard landings when it really shouldn't have. There really needs to be a way for securing the top plate better but the problem is really the bobbins. The bobbins work but to me they seem far too soft and pliable and are just not strong enough to keep the mounting plates from separating in a rough landing and they are guaranteed to separate in a crash. Otherwise the price is great and it does what is advertised.
Hello George -
Thank you for your review! The goal in the design of this mount was to provide the maximum amount of vibration dampening as possible while keeping weight down, so the bobbins are fairly soft. They can come out of their mounting holes in a hard landing, but one solution to keep them in place is to loosely run small zip ties through their center.
