The Lumenier LUX has been updated to V2! Check out the newest LUX V2 here.
The Lumenier LUX flight controller provides high quality flight control using the powerful F3 processor along with top of the line hardware. Unleash the capabilities of your FPV Racing Quadcopter with the Lumenier LUX Flight Controller. Achieve gyro refresh rates up to 8kHz (high speed SPI) using popular Betaflight and Raceflight firmware along with ultra low looptimes. The LUX comes with CleanFlight pre-installed.
The Lumenier LUX is a very low profile board allowing it to be mounted in a variety of ways. The board also comes with a set of pin headers you can optionaly solder on. Alternatively, signal wires can be soldered directly to the pads to save on size and weight. The LUX supports PPM or Serial RX (including Futaba, FrSky, S.BUS). A signal inverter is already included for S.BUS. Please note: Baseflight firmware is not supported, and PWM input for individual channels is not supported.
- USB Conflict resolution - Hardware inversion, SBUS or telemetry can be used on any of the 3 available hardware serial ports. USB will not interfere with peripherals.
- High Speed SPI 8kHz Gyro
- MPU interrupt connected to F3, allowing the F3 to know immediately when fresh data is available.
- Dedicated Boot button for easy firmware flashing.
- Reinforced solder pads for trouble-free direct soldering.
- Extremely low profile design.
- Recessed, sideways pin headers. Also enables soldering of all wires directly to pads without use of any pin headers.
- Integrated FRSky RSSI Filter (RC filter).
- Input voltage 6v to 24v. Power the board directly from flight pack up to 6S (on 'BAT' pad only!).
- VIN + VBAT merged - A single wire to power the board will provide voltage input and Telemetry/OSD voltage data.
- Filtered voltage output - output 5v 1A (and 3.3v where applicable) to power peripherals such as GPS, RX, BLACKBOX, OSD. 5v/3.3v RX selectable.
- Cleanflight support (RACE target).

Fantastic Flight Controller review by Daniel on 12/22/2016
I've tried everything from a Naze32 to Motolab boards. For my particular wants and needs, the Lux is unbeatable. The biggest plus, in my opinion, are the solder tabs. I like to direct solder everything and doing this with through holes is a pain.
Looking forward to the Lux v2.
Amazing FC - the secret is O Rings! review by Joel on 12/1/2016
I now LOVE this board and have already pre-ordered two of the LUX v2s based on how great this v1 is in my QAV-R 5"! I initially had some issues getting the jitters out of it, which are one of the side effects of the MPU6500 gyro being so sensitive. I ended up using o rings on both the top and bottom mount for the board, and lightly tightened the mounting screw. No more jitters. The speed of the board is amazing, as I'm running 8K gyro refresh, 4K FC refresh with Multishot protocol to the ESCs. Rides like its on rails! Can't wait to see how great the v2 is with the softer MPU6000 gyro!
Exceptional FC review by Matt on 10/23/2016
I really like this flight controller. I've tried the Naze32, Kiss FC, and the Lux.
The Lux by far is my favorite. Setup is easy, the pads are nice and large and easy to solder to. The layout is convenient and well thought out. This supports SBUS like most FC's which is a bonus. LED and buzzer output not interfering with other UARTs is a plus too.
The gyro, like many people see, is super sensitive. I initially had trouble with vibrations due to the gyro's sensitivity. It took a little while to resolve it, but longs story short I was torquing the FC down too tightly. Loosing them and slipping O-rings in helped tremendously.
There isn't a whole lot of info out there on the Lux in terms of troubleshooting and youtube video walkthroughs, but do not let this deter you. This is a great flight controller. Configuration was fairly straight forward.
I think this is priced slightly higher than it should be, but its a really solid flight controller. I would consider flying this on future builds.
love it review by midohioboarder on 10/5/2016
I put this in my QAV-X. Perfect for that quad. Love the fact that it can handle a 6S without magic smoke! Don't bother trying to use header pins if installing on the X. Just not enough room.
Loaded Betaflight 3.0 on this. Default PIDs are pretty darn close.
I will buy this again.
Great board design, not so good gyro review by Aaron on 9/27/2016
I bought two Lux's, both have gyro jitters. I have spend hours trying to trouble shoot and fix the issue. Soft mounting FC with hot glue along with the new notch filter in Betaflight has helped but the jitters are still there at just below mid throttle. Many are having similar issues with the MPU 6500 gyro - change the gyro and add a black box and this would be a stellar fc.
Use the o-rings review by Matt on 9/19/2016
This board drove me nuts for two weeks trying to get it setup right. Then I figured out that the gyro was so senative that I had to soft mount it. Beyond that issue, I like the board.
Great product, with qualifications review by Levi on 7/21/2016
Great flight controller, performance-wise. This, running beta flight 2.9, runs better than my KissFC on my other quad. I am really impressed with the layout, and the quality of manufacturing. HOWEVER, you will burn up a receiver, or maybe the whole flight controller if you power straight from the battery. Even though this has a voltage regulator onboard, be sure to use a regulated power supply.
Using with qav210 review by Blake on 7/8/2016
So many issues trying to set it up with my qav210 cleanflight and reciever issues. Good solder pads and designs tho
Sweet/very friendly review by Keith on 7/8/2016
I started with the CC3D, then to the Naze. I now have four vehicles with the Lux. I heard a review of several different FC's and the said the Lux was tough to tune. JUST THE OPPOSITE. The Lux is by far the easiest and most friendly to tune. It's flies great with a very friendly length PIDS.
Definitely use a stepdown to power it, I screwed up a solder on an ESC and popped one. My stupidity.
It is also insanely smooth. When I put my first one in, I could not believe how incredible it was.
Great board review by Robert on 6/13/2016
Easy to install and easy to add on whatever LEDs ,osd...etc.
From a great company with excellent customer service "5 star service"
nice review by seacaptainchris on 6/11/2016
locked in but def not for a beginning pilot!
great board review by randy on 6/5/2016
Great board, just don't hard mount it - the gyro doesn't like vibrations from the frame. Use the included o-rings and the quad flies great.
Great and very easy to setup review by Stephen on 5/25/2016
I have used this FC in 4 builds so far. I love this flight controller. It is perfect and I never use the pins. not one board has givien me trouble. I solder everything direct and the pads are so easy to work with. I highly recommend this FC. The ease of setup and the ability to flash BLheli ESC's via passthrough is very nice. It is very reliable and has been in huge horrible crashes onto pavement and everything just works fine after prop change.
Right now I am in the process of taking my Naze 32 out of my QAV 210 just to upgrade to the LUX. I run 8KHz with 125 loop times and I fly like a pro even though I am not.
So far I have used in Shendrone Krieger, Shendrone Shrieker,
QAV-R, QAV 210, and about to install in micro Owl frame when it arrives.
Bad A## flight controller review by Christian on 4/17/2016
Run this thing @ 8k, Beta flight. Then xm20's with multishot loaded on them. You will have produced one heck of an amazing Quadcopter! This FC rocks, I like it better than my kiss, way more reliable!
Great review by Diego Martins(DroneLand) on 4/13/2016
