The best drone films in the world are all in one place: the New York City Drone Film Festival.

This year marks the sixth NYCDFF, and things will look a bit different in 2020. The latest version of the festival will be an all-digital experience that will bring more than just drone films to those attending. The NYCDFF will also include tons of great masterclasses, interviews with drone professionals, conversations with industry experts, and more — all in one (virtual) place.

Attendees of the NYCDFF will have a chance to learn from the best while also watching the best films. Whether you’re a drone pilot looking to up your game, or a filmmaker trying to decide if adding aerial cinematography is right for you, you’ll want to be sure to check out the NYCDFF.

What is a digital drone festival?

The 2020 NYCDFF will be a web page that is a living festival map. Attendees can click on various buildings to explore, watch films, learn from masterclasses, video chat with other attendees and drone influencers, and to delve into the latest in drone technology at an expo.  NYCDFF 2020 will NOT be a collection of links and message boards.

THE BEST DRONE FILMS IN THE WORLD - on the small screen

During NYCDFF award show - it USUALLY shows the best drone films in the world on the BIG screen.  2020 is different.  On October 24th, it will be doing a 3-hour livestream where attendees can see the nominated and winning films, acceptance speeches, and other awesomeness.  It is more than just a Livestream.  The 2020 NYCDFF will feature...

LOUNGES - Video-chat enabled meetup rooms

Its lounges will be video-chat enabled so that attendees can engage with one another.  Some tables will be organized by topics such as technology, creativity, and sponsors.  These loughes will be seeded with festival judges, teachers, influencers, and other people of note to keep the conversation flowing.

MASTER CLASSES - Education is power

NYCDFF VI will be a full education in all things drones and filmmaking.  NYCDFF is serious about our community and its constant progression as filmmakers.  We'll have classes on storytelling, editing, FPV, and color-correcting, with more topics being added every day.  It will also have a series of interviews and panels that will make attendees drool.

DIGITAL DRONE EXPO - All the fun of exploration minus the terrible coffee

Show product videos and photos, have representatives from different organization video chat with attendees all from a game-changing digital expo booth. Best of all, it will be available online to ticket holders for an entire year.  For those who can't make it on the first day, no sweat.
