Updated OSDoge review by Levi on 5/12/2016
You guys should make a point to explain how this is the OSDoge 1.5, which is way better hardware than version 1. I have two of the older boards, and on both the large capacitor, presumably from the LC filter has ripped off of them both, in pretty minor crashes. I've had to get pretty creative to find a reliable solution. This new board however has eliminated/moved/changed this capacitor to be much more durable. I wish I could trade in my old one for one of these....
Im still a huge fan of this board, and would likely buy one of these for a new build. The OSD is pretty standard, but the power filtering for video and voltage regulator for the FC and receiver, all in a stackable form factor is really nice.
OSDOGE Great Idea, But! review by David on 4/16/2016
I have purchased three of theses and they all have the same problem the Capacitor pops off very easily. The product seems to work very well "obviously" until this happens. I will not be purchasing anymore.
Terrible quality review by James on 3/4/2016
I'm writing this after my second OSDoge. The display is great the software is great the hardware it trash. The capacitor popped of my first one on the second day. Caught the transmitter on fire as well. The second for some reason stopped sending the correct voltage to power the transmitter. Don't buy!
Not something to rave about !!!! review by Icon on 2/11/2016
I bought one months ago... Installation fine, makes a cleaner build. For the functionality side ....7 outta 10 times powering up the quad its got no video. Unplug and plug back in. Sometimes it takes more than two times to get video. Hasn't failed while ripping around... yet. So just think about OSD systems that pro's use. This probably will be good for a beginner but I'm going to use TBS PnP 50 next. You could too>!!!
Worth every penny review by aaron on 2/9/2016
Yes, the OSDoge IS a little expensive, I can agree with most people on that, now that I have it and used it and have RSSI and battery voltage on there I can say that $69.99 is a little high, I think $59.99 would be a perfect price for this board. BUT!!!.... To be able to have an LC filter, a 5V supply for the Naze and a very good OSD.. $60 is perfect, the reason I paid $70 (besides it being the price) and I think is worth every penny is to stop that #%&!@ on the Taranis from saying "Battery Low!" "Battery Critical" every time I turn it on. I never figured out how to get her to not do that lol. Luckily I don't have to worry about that anymore. So, along with all that AND making a very clean build, this is a winner! WOW! OSD! MUCH WIN! VERY LIKE! SUCH AWESOME! MUCH SATISFY!
Great OSD review by Levi on 1/6/2016
I was using the minimosd before I bought this, and I am very happy about the switch. My build is very clean, and I love the built in voltage regulator. The best part of this OSD, in addition to the actual OSD, is the ability for me to now switch between 3s and 4s without frying any fpv gear, as this provides VERY clean 12v to my video gear. Love it!! I will most likely buy one more for my next build.
Would Not Recomend review by Joseph on 1/5/2016
I had 2 of these OSDs and they do not work well.
My first one just did not work, I just assumed I had a dud, it powered my Naze32 fine but the camera was not giving signal.
My second one seemed to have the same issue, it seems that either the voltage to the camera is not sufficient or the signal does not come through. I checked the voltage with my meter and even though I jumped the 12V for the camera, my meter kept reading 6V. I re-flowed the solder on the header pins to the camera and that seemed to fix it. I was finally going to have clean build. While Flying My QAV250 the OSD Values (Voltage, Artificial Horizon, etc) disappeared, then the camera had a blackout, in mid flight. This board cost me my quad and a GoPro.
On my new Alien build I finally switched to the TBS PNP50, which worked absolutely fine (knock on wood) even after switching the Jumper of the VTX and Camera to 12V
To anyone who has this and is "working", if your OSD values disappear, I highly suggest you land, you might have a camera blackout.
Buyer beware! review by johnson on 1/3/2016
I have purchased 3 of these since like the other reviewers, provides clean power and an awesome OSD. However, buyer beware! The large capacitor comes off pretty easily from the factory! No crashes needed. I replaced my caps and glued them and even still, the video fails to come on and sometimes goes black mid flight! All 3 OSDodge have failed me mid flight.
Great osd and power filter review by miguel on 12/15/2015
Love this stackable osd.
Easy to solder.
Easy to set up.
Brilliant review by Adam on 11/7/2015
Got two quads with OSDoge/Naze in now, bought second from getfpv.
At first this looks pricey but provides power for Naze and all attached devices as well as Fpv kit, so removes cost and weight of step downs, BECs, OSD and LC filters as well as the associated cables. Makes very clean, light builds.
One from getfpv beat two other packages from US to UK, flashed with scarab MWOSD 1.5, uploaded font and configured in 5 mins and is sitting on Naze32 rev6a in under an hour, excellent product
