Fly in "pitch black" with this IR LED light. this Infrared LED floodlight will provide ample light in the IR spectrum, invisible to the naked eye, perfect for night flying or in cases where you wouldn't want a bright light on your aerial vehicle.

The IR and Overt LED lights by Lumenier offer a high lumen, small form factor, and lightweight lighting package for remote-controlled UGV and UAV systems. The case of the light is made from machined aluminum and acts as a heat sink. The light can be controlled by providing a PWM signal from 1000 to 2000 µS on the signal input line (white wire). Depending on the provided PWM signal, the light can be turned on and off, dimmed, and set to a flashing beacon mode.

Note: You will need an IR sensitive camera on your aerial vehicle to translate the IR light to the visible spectrum.

Operating Procedure

It is advised to first power up the PWM data input via a flight controller or RC RX. After the PWM signal is running, power the LED by providing appropriate input voltage (e.g. 12v). If the LED is powered without any PWM input signal, the LED might flash randomly.

WARNING!

The aluminum case functions as the LED’s heat sink and can get very hot during prolonged operation. Do not touch the LED after operation!
