Better vision=better flights review by Rob on 2/14/2018
I had the stock Spironet antennas on my FatShark Focal 2 goggles and Vortex 150. I watched and read many antenna reviews and was not at all sure I would get an improvement worth the cost.
But, from the first flight I flew better than I ever had. I fly in my 2 1/2 wooded acres and these antennas increased my range when there were a lot of trees between me and the Vortex. Faster, farther and more confident flights convinced me.
I can't say how much of the improvement might be placebo effect but it persists and if this is all it takes, I'm in! Very happy with this purchase.
Excellent!! review by Robert on 4/16/2017
I have Dominators V2's with the True D V3 receiver and used a VAS Crosshair and Mad Mushroom together with video transmitter set on 200mw. and I get good range and excellent clarity.
Color me impressed review by ShaneG on 8/27/2016
My first experience with these antennas was less than stellar. (Both were horizontal)
I changed the orientation and this appears to have made a HUGE difference. I love the range and clarity that these antennas have given me. The fact that they have the protective shell has saved my bacon more than once as well.
I may have groused a little when opening the wallet for them, but I have a feeling that I will only be crying once. You get what you pay for.
These DEFINITELY deliver.
The best set of antennas...PERIOD! review by Daniel on 3/9/2016
This set of antennas have no other match out there. The range is just ridiculous and penetration is unmatched. After some hard crashes the cover popped off so I decided to keep flying without it to see how the cloverleaf portion would hold up. I couldn't believe the punishment the Airscrew could take after repeated crashes. Everything just bends right back into shape and I haven't noticed any degradation in video. Spend the extra money on these bad boys and end your search for the perfect set of antennas.
Nice antennas! review by Marlin Hunter on 2/22/2016
TBS are on back order and needed a pair of quality antennas and ran across this set. Love em so far, have not had a chance to give it an adequate range test, but thus far i am very pleased with my purchase. Thank you getfpv!
Super Nice Antennas review by Steve on 11/14/2015
Put these on my Attitude goggles and TBS Discovery for a quick test, Noticeable improvement even over FS circular polarized antennas I had currently been using and a huge improvement over those cheap no name CP antennas. Even just the MM on my goggles worked great with my ultra micro quads using 25mW transmitters, super clean feed even around and through trees. Still had flyable video feed even after losing radio signal with a nano qx at around 150+ yards. So far, my best set of CP antennas and I have many. Planning on equipping most of my 5.8 setups with these antennas.
Best Transmitter antenna on the market review by Robert on 8/28/2015
The video quality and range with these antennas is absolutely incredible. The cover is really tough, I have destroyed them to blue powder, but really had to try hard to break it, and the antenna inside was for the most part fine. They also sell replacement covers for $7, which is probably a good spare part to have if you fly hard, and want to protect your investment.
There are less expensive options, but these are worth every penny, and once you try these, you will realize how bad everything else is, and go broke replacing all of your stuff with video aerial, they are that good.
Very worth the price review by Luis on 5/18/2015
I started as a firm non-believer on fancy antennas. I was flying cheap circular polarized antennas (which are a big improvement over linear). I finally bit the bullet and ordered this set to see for myself.
In my last fly session we were getting lots of interference. Switching the receiver antenna to the bluebeam antenna improved things but after also replacing the tx antenna, video was rock solid.
I'm getting one air screw for each of my quads now, won't be looking back.
The construction of the antenna itself is excellent. Even while fully tightened, the antena can still turn thanks to the baluns. This saves some strain in the connectors, specially while crashing.
This said, if you're flying with ImmersionRC or other "expensive" circularly polarized antennas you might not see such a dramatic effect. Some people flying good quality antennas have said they see no difference, but in my most recent session others were using matching ImmersionRC circular polarization antennas and reported interference while I was happily flying.
All in all, I've found my new standard issue antenna set.
Considerable improvement over stock antennas review by Samuel on 4/1/2015
I'm using these with an Attitude V2 setup and the improvement over the stock antennas is significant. I am very pleased with their performance. My only qualm is that the wire will not remain bent at a right angle, but it's nothing a little electrical tape can't fix. This comes with one right angle connector, but consider getting another if you need both antennas to turn.
GREAT UPGRADE over spiro stuff from FATSHARK review by Thomas on 10/21/2014
I bought this hoping to get a bit more range out of my Spektrum UM FPV camera and a future 600mw build. I just came in from testing the range of my Blade 200 QX with the Spektrum UM camera with just the Bluebeam antenna on my Fatshark goggle. The range and clarity are a huge improvment over the Spironet included antenna. I figure I went at least another 25 to 50 yards past my previous cutout. I'd say that's a 50% increase in distance. What's more is the clarity is much more noticeable.
Do yourself a favor and at least try out the RX antenna on your FatSharks if you are using the Spektrum UM setup.
the best. review by Tyler on 9/1/2014
Using them with my 5.8ghz ImmersionRC 600mw module. So far it has been 3 weeks and every time i fly with them i notice a great improvement over a cheap pair of circular polarized antennas i originally bought at HK for 13$. you get what you pay for with FPV, lesson learned, and this is as good as it gets. Only downside is i wish it came with some sort transportation guard for the money you pay, im always worried about bending the clover leafs when i travel with my RX.
WOW review by Dane on 8/20/2014
First FPV experience. Got the Predator V2s and a set of these as my first FPV setup. Slapped these antennas on the stuff straight out of the box. Went out for a test flight and WOW! Great video quality, great range... I never lost video signal the entire 3 packs. I would say I went out at least half a mile and the video was rock solid. My mind is currently blown...
