This kit is HD Ready and compatible with either the DJI O3 or Walksnail systems. The FPV system is not included, which allows you to add your own that can be purchased separately. Whether you've built hundreds of quads or this is your very first build, this DIY kit is the simplest way to build an fpv drone from scratch. Joshua Bardwell, Lumenier, and Xilo have partnered up and put together a list of all the components with an easy-to-follow step-by-step build guide to assemble, build, tune, and fly this revolutionary QAV-S 2 drone.

This HD Ready DIY Kit has been developed and designed with the addition of the long-awaited QAV-S 2 frame! Lumenier and Xilo have been working side by side with Joshua Bardwell on multiple features to make this kit even better than the last:

New Airframe Design: The QAV-S 2 - Joshua Bardwell Edition frame optimizes the space and weight for a 5” quad design, with a low profile body for electronics, enough space to fit an Analog or Digital Video System, engineered center of gravity when carrying an Action Camera, and strong and structured design that is meant for hardcore freestyle.
X-Lock Arm Mechanism: The Lumenier QAV-S 2 Bardwell SE introduces a new lateral X-Lock arm system! This all-aluminum arm locking system improves on the QAV-S design in both rigidity and ease of use, providing two-axis clamping that is mechanically isolated from the main plates and flight controller stack. The new lock system also allows the arms to fold with only one screw for easy transportation.
O3, Vista, and Walksnail Compatible Mounting: The rear plate adds 25.5 M1.6 mount holes to allow direct mounting of the O3 air unit to the frame. This frame can also house the Vista/Walksnail system in rear-mounting orientation. (HDZero works in center-mounting orientation with FC or ESC in the rear.)
Aluminum FPV Camera Plates: The new FPV camera mounting solution offers excellent camera protection and support for a range of cameras. The use of a unique interlocking system allows for minimal hardware and strengthens the front end while staying lightweight.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THIS HD READY KIT AND THE ANALOG KIT?

The "HD Ready" kit comes without an FPV system so you can choose your own HD system to add to your build. The analog kit includes the analog FPV video transmitter and camera.

I'M NEW TO FPV AND HAVE NOTHING. DOES THIS KIT HAVE EVERYTHING I NEED TO GET STARTED?

This bundle comes with everything the "drone" itself needs except the radio receiver and FPV System. If you are just getting into FPV and don't have anything yet there are a few key components you will need in addition to this kit to be able to fly. Please check out our "Additional Suggested Parts" list below for suggestions. The good news is most of these parts you can use across multiple drones, so it is an upfront investment, but you won't have to necessarily buy them for every drone you build.

You will need the following in addition to this kit if you don't already have them:
