Team BlackSheep is renowned for setting long-range records, flying close-to-ground proximity routes in the Alps, and navigating deep urban environments. Through countless missions around the globe, we've compiled a list of essential requirements — and found no existing system could meet them all. So, we embarked on a long and challenging journey to develop an R/C link system from scratch, testing it rigorously for over a year to ensure top-tier reliability and cutting-edge functionality. The transmitter's OLED display lets you monitor your drone's real-time location (with a TBS GPS or BlackBox paired with DJI Naza or APM-based GPS). The up-and-downlink status provides a sense of security, while the OLED configuration options eliminate the need for PC-based tools. A pulsing LED shows link health and signal strength in color (green = all clear, orange = time to turn back). In the event of a crash, the drone’s location appears on the OLED display. Plus, the receiver’s built-in battery automatically activates beacon mode, transmitting the last known coordinates until the battery runs out.
