Initial Thoughts
The Lumenier BLHeli_32 35A 3-6S ESC comes sealed in a standard anti-static bag, nothing particularly special here. The package contents include a singular ESC, five 16AWG wires and three signal/ground wires. Three of the included 16AWG wires are intended for motor wiring, although they are extremely short and not worth consideration. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”3625″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”link_image”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”3627″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”link_image”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Immediately, the ESC’s themselves appear particularly well made. The solder pads have a particularly large surface area that makes them an absolute pleasure to solder up. The through holes on the signal pads are also a nice touch. All electrical components are perfectly aligned and well attached to the PCB. The Lumenier BLHeli_32 35A 3-6S ESC even comes with an aluminium heat sink, which seems to be slightly stuck to the mosfets with a thin layer of some kind of thermal paste. This should help keep the ESC cool under the high loads that can be expected from many high voltage race rigs.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]A minor annoyance is a portion of the small, sensitive diodes and resistors aren’t covered by any heat shrink. This leaves them at risk of being seriously damaged by a prop strike during a crash. Be sure to add another layer of heat shrink, electrical tape, or even a broken prop over these ESC’s before flying. The ESC is also a little porky, although it’s honestly pretty admirable for a 35A 6S capable ESC.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”3630″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”link_image”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
Flight Testing
I decided to use the Lumenier BLHeli_32 35A 3-6S ESC on a fresh 5” freestyle build, in combination with the PiroflipRC F4 OSD FC flashed with Betaflight 3.5.2 and XRotor Race Pro 2207 2450kV motors on 4S. Not exactly pushing the limits of this ESC, although it truly demonstrated an ability to perform nonetheless.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]On just DSHOT600 the Lumenier BLHeli_32 35A 3-6S ESC feels insanely responsive, like my brain has been transplanted directly into the drone itself. The drone feels extremely locked in, yet not to the point where sensitivity is lost and flight still remains fluid and flowy. Although not unique to the Lumenier BLHeli_32 35A 3-6S ESC itself, this ‘sensitive yet smooth’ characteristic of BLHeli_32 truly is something all FPV pilots must try out.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]As for heat, I tested the Lumenier BLHeli_32 35A 3-6S ESC on an unusually warm Australian Spring day. The temperature was about 30℃ (86℉) out and the Lumenier BLHeli_32 35A 3-6S ESC hardly broke a sweat despite numerous full throttle punchouts and snap moves. Even with motors getting particularly toasty, there were absolutely zero heat struggles for the ESC itself. It seems the aluminium heat sink actually does help a little when it comes to keeping the ESC cool.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
Final Thoughts
In short, the Lumenier BLHeli_32 35A 3-6S ESC is fantastic little ESC. It’s 35A 3-6S spec combined with a fairly modest footprint makes it an extensively versatile little speed controller, fit for use with a wide range of motor, frame and propeller sizes. If your after a set of ESC’s for a fresh rig, be it race, freestyle or long range – the Lumenier BLHeli_32 35A 3-6S ESC are certainly a worthwhile pick.[/vc_column_text][ult_buttons btn_title=”BUY Lumenier BLHeli_32 35A 3-6S ESC HERE” btn_link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.getfpv.com%2Flumenier-blheli-32-35a-3-6s-dshot-1200-esc-w-led.html|title:BUY%20Lumenier%20BLHeli_32%2035A%203-6S%20ESC%20HERE|target:%20_blank|” btn_align=”ubtn-center” btn_size=”ubtn-large” btn_title_color=”#4d4d4d” btn_bg_color=”#ffcd32″ icon=”Defaults-shopping-cart” icon_size=”32″ btn_icon_pos=”ubtn-sep-icon-left-push” btn_border_style=”solid” btn_color_border=”#4d4d4d” btn_border_size=”1″ btn_radius=”3″ btn_font_style=”font-weight:bold;”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]
