FPV has Gone to a New Level review by Kevin on 8/13/2017
I was using the Fatshark Attitude V3's (Awesome Goggle). I purchased the Dominator V3's, and added the Furious Tru-D V3 3.5 RX....now even the little $20 AIO FPV cameras look amazing !
Probably the best bang for buck in the fatshark range review by SerialTeqiola on 6/7/2017
I just bought the HD3's and have to say these DomV3 are really really close in visual experience.
I am having a hard time trying to justify the extra money for the HD3.s when my existing DomV3 are really just as good. Yes, one is 16:9 and the other 4:3 but I really don't have an issue with either.
Both the HD3($500!) and V3 are crisp and clear, but I find that some area of the screen has to suffer with slight blur on both models but you can adjust it with the IPD's to an area where its not an issue for you (I keep the center clear and let the edge blur a little. The Blur is not too bad for me but I could see if you use OSD it might be annoying.)
I think another reviewer said it best: "its a matter of diminishing returns" The HD3' are ever so slightly better because of the tiny extra visual real estate, but the DOM V3's tick all the boxes at a much more reasonable (ish) price.
Wish they would come with an RF module instead of a useless headtracker.
The DomV3 is best bang for buck in the fatshark range.
Pure Awesomeness review by Saquan on 1/19/2017
Just received these in mail. Can't wait to try them out. Heard only but great things about these goggles. So I'm hoping for the same great experience. Thanks GetFPV.
The Best review by Peter on 12/3/2016
Quite a transition from a big head unit to these babies. The smaller screen size is something to get used to, but after a while you don't notice it. The resolution is fantastic and as I am far sighted don't require any corrective diopters, which was something I is was worried about. Still very expensive, but well worth the money. Don't settle for cheap goggles, just get the stuff the pros fly with.
So far so good review by Jon on 11/20/2016
These are a bit pricey, but I ordered them to do AP so hopefully they will pay for themselves. One LCD failed and it had to be shipped back for repairs which was a fast and no bs experience.
I wish these could record HDMI in video to the SD card!
My forehead is too wide and the top of the goggles doesn't fit right. The older ones didn't have that problem with just the standard eye cups. I don't know why they added so much frame that cannot adjust. I will be looking for something more comfortable for sure.
Great set of goggles with a bit of room for improvement review by JoeLeeFpv on 11/18/2016
These are the first, and only goggles I own. I have used the Dominator HD2's, Headplay, and Flysight. Of all the goggles I personally enjoy my own set of Dominator V3's over the competition. Quite a few companies design their gear to pair with Fatshark equipment, so you'll never have to worry about compatability. The only dislikes I have are merely cosmetic, and could be my personal preferance. I would like to see the future design to come with a comfortable silicon skirt much like scuba diving mask. Easier to clean than foam, and more durable. Understanding when these were made they didn't design it for diversity, but the head strap could use a wider section across the rear. Prevents slippage during are most intense impersonation of Ray Charles. Outstanding headset that I'd recommend to anyone, aside from my knit picking.
Brilliant but I do wish Thye hd more FOV review by Jade on 9/1/2016
These are awesome with both 4:3 cameras and 16:9 cameras. I just with they had a bigger FOV but otherwise they are fantastic!
Better than I imagined review by midohioboarder on 8/24/2016
Truly a great FPV experience with these. I am also using the Lumenier CMOS-1200 16:9 Widescreen Mini FPV Camera so the image is not squashed. Fantastically clear image!! Together, they are both worth the money.
quality review by Keaton on 7/16/2016
these are very nice goggles, and the image is very sharp.
Good Choice review by Alpha Quadcopter on 6/13/2016
Being new to FPV I wasn't sure about spending a lot on a pair of FatSharks or just getting something cheaper like a Quanum DIY FPV Goggles. And after using the Fatshark Dominator V3 for over a month I'm very impressed with these goggles. The video quality is great, the faceplate sits on my (face) nicely and the DVR is great to have seeing I don't have an action camera for my quad. Very happy with GetFPV service as well, shipping was nice and fast and i would gladly purchase from them again.
Great goggles review by ali on 3/24/2016
this is a big upgrade coming from predator v2 and I like them. The view is great too it is something you need to get use to
Great if.. review by Vik on 3/17/2016
First, I rarely write reviews, but I had a hard time deciding if I should get these goggles or if I was justified to get the HD v2s. I think someone else might have the same decision in front of them. Well, these are great if you like a wider aspect ratio. In my opinion, I think the wider aspect ratio looks really clean and I don't really notice as much when I fly now. As for clarity, these goggles have very sharp detail - coming from the altitudes v2 - these are very clear and sharp. To sum it up, I am very happy and I saved the extra money and bought a nice set of motors and frame instead of purchasing the HD v2s. I would get these again, also I heard the HD v2s have Diopter issues and I didn't experience that with these goggles. Hope that helps someone.
I was worried... review by Tubasteve on 2/23/2016
I was worried after reading what others had said about the stretched 16:9. Im running a 2.1mm lens on 600tvl amazon special and love these things. I came from additude v2 (ill never go back). The only complaint miht come from the tuner i was using seemed to have a rolling sync issue like a bad ntsc vs pal. Would i buy these again, yes, second guess my cheapness to save $150 over the other ones, yes i would. Stretched screen feel was not present with the 2.1 lens and that might be why. Actually felt more comfortable hitting gaps his weekend than ever before. Done 10 flights without a hickup.
Pretty good kit review by Mountain Racer on 1/12/2016
perceived screen size is very nice, and image quality is quite good. I have long hair so I had an issue with the strap staying on my head once the battery was put in it but, wearing a ball cap backwards solved the issue. I had an issue with the the lighter foam making my cheeks and feel cramped up against the focal lenses, so for my face type I had to switch to the thicker foam. I had an Issue with light penetration once I did, so I just took pieces of the old thinner foam pieces around the nose area and problem solved. My favorite feature besides the on board HDMI ability is simplicity of swapping out RX units.
WOW review by calvin/kd5uwg on 1/5/2016
I haven't gotten to fly with them yet, due to weather but I did power on my VTX and just had a look. All I can say is WOW, Granted I am moving up from a set of teleporter v4's but wow. I actually watched a movie on em using the HDMI cables and was very enjoyable. I was worried that the stretch of a 4:3 Camera signal into the 16:9 format would be a problem but just static and shaking quad, checking it out looked great. I cant wait to fly with these.
Well worth the investment review by Noah on 12/24/2015
Could not wait to try these and they are everything I wanted them to be. Long range fpv is clearer, quad stunts are way more fun, and MW3 looks incredible on my 360. came with component and hdmi cables AND HD adapters. The price is well worth the pleasure they bring.
Best so far review by Nicolás on 11/19/2015
The goggles are awesome, the screen is really good quality, and the two different faceplates make it easier to adjust to your face.
The battery fits perfect, no more hanging batteries like previous versions.
The DVR is simply a lifesaver when you crash and have no idea where you were
The only thing i dont like is a small reflection on each sides of the screen (not on the actual screen, but on the dark places surrounding it). It doesnt bother me since everything looks perfect and it's just a line of light, but they shouldnt be there.
Plain Awesome FPV review by rcj3ff on 10/12/2015
This was well worth the wait...the colors, 16:9 format, & 32 ch Rx make this essential to my FPV racing...
